AirDNA names Demi Horvat as new CEO

Short-term rental insights provider AirDNA has appointed Demi Horvat as CEO. She succeeds founder Scott Shatford, who is joining the board as director.

Horvat joined AirDNA as chief operating officer following the company’s acquisition by Alpine Investors in March of this year. In her role as COO, she “proved to be an invaluable strategic counselor, leveraging her management expertise to accelerate development and bolster the engineering, product and research teams,” AirDNA says in a statement. 

“In less than eight months, Demi’s achievements and dedication to providing value to our customers across multiple industries have left an impressive mark” says Shatford.  

“I trust there is no better leader for this next exciting chapter of growth, while I maintain my passion for supporting AirDNA’s long-term vision and strategy as board director.”

Horvat’s appointment comes as AirDNA looks toward its next chapter of growth. Further recent additions to its leadership team include Leah Fitz as vice president of finance, James Malcolm as chief product officer and Alexa Churchman-Mountbatten as senior vice president of sales.

They join leaders including Jamie Lane, who became vice president of the research team in 2020, vice president of marketing Mariah Kamei and vice president of engineering Andy Pai.

Founded by Shatford in 2015, AirDNA tracks the daily performance of more than 10 million properties on Airbnb and Vrbo in 120,000 global markets and collects data from a growing library of more than one million partner properties.
