Uber made several updates in 2022 that connect its offerings
more directly to travel experiences – and now the question is what more will we
see in 2023?
Already the ridesharing and delivery company has created
Uber Travel, which imports flights, hotel and restaurant reservations into the
Uber app to simplify the process of requesting rides related to those bookings.
In the United Kingdom, Uber is also offering train and bus
bookings in its app, with plans to add flights and possibly hotels.

And the app also has Uber Explore, which enables users to
book activities from companies including Viator and then reserve a ride to the
location as well.
In a discussion in the PhocusWire studio at The Phocuswright
Conference, Uber’s head of growth and new products for travel and airports, Loren
Kosloske, discusses the company’s multi-modality strategy.
Kosloske explains why the United Kingdom is a “great testing
environment” for new products, how Uber determines what to do next and whether
the moniker of “super app” is a goal.
