Travel industry research authority Phocuswright announced the People's Choice Award winner of the latest Phocuswright Innovation Platform program Launch: EMEA, which was held last week during the Phocuswright Europe conference in Barcelona.
Six innovators presented new ideas that are set to change the travel industry.
The people's choice selection for the EMEA Travel Innovation Award was Holidayheroes, which aims to reduce friction during the travel booking process by removing search and presenting options for users in the form of a feed (akin to Instagram) that offers the best of billions of flight and hotel options.
Since the first Travel Innovation Summit in 2008, 629 innovators have taken the stages at Phocuswright's innovation events. This group has brought countless innovations to the market, with 466 of them having raised over €9.3 billion and 113 have been acquired.
