Nearly halfway through the year, it seems clear that the
travel industry is in a period of innovation acceleration, driven by a variety
of factors such as shifts in traveler preferences post-COVID, reduced staffing
and rapidly emerging new tech including generative AI.
Last June Phocuswright and WebInTravel launched The Bridge
Series in an effort to bring together perspectives and solutions from travel
leaders around the globe as they explore and launch new solutions.
The next event in this initiative will take place Tuesday,
June 13, at Phocuswright Europe in Barcelona.
Moderated by Phocuswright managing director Pete Comeau and
WebInTravel founder Siew Hoon Yeoh, the panel will include:
- Patrick Andrae, co-founder and CEO of HomeToGo
- Aditi Mohapatra, vice president of global social impact and sustainability at Expedia Group
- Ross Veitch, co-founder and CEO of Wego Group
- Philip Yan, managing director of head of international flights at Alibaba Fliggy
This panel
will delve into the product innovations coming out of China and the Middle
East, both of which are at different stages of travel recovery but have similar
mobile and highly social characteristics, as well as vacation rentals and
social impact and sustainability.
Expect interesting ideas from this diverse
panel as well as what’s coming next as travel tech companies try and stay ahead
of the rapidly changing tech landscape.
