Guest experience platform Duve is using OpenAI’s ChatGPT-4 to improve communications and drive hotel guest personalization.
The company, which plans to launch DuveAI in the second quarter of this year, says it will enable “hoteliers and hosts to interact with their guests like never before.”
The solution combines “the power of AI with context from guest profiles” from Duve, according to a statement.
The Israel-based startup is the latest travel company to integrate the OpenAI technology, with Expedia and Kayak the first to create plugins for itinerary planning and recommendations.
Last month, Trip.com unveiled its in-app chatbot TripGen developed using OpenAI's API.

Initially, DuveAI will offer five main components:
Sentiment analysis and prioritization will enable hoteliers to improve how they manage tasks by helping them understand guests’ needs and how urgent they are.
Auto-generated guest content, as the term suggests, will generate content that can be personalized for hotel apps and wider usage such as ancillary services.
Smart auto-replies will automatically respond to a guest’s query based on information from Duve.
Suggested tailored responses provides staff with suggested replies to queries from guests that they can then edit. As with smart auto-replies, the tailored responses are based on information held within Duve.
Finally, message summarization will help hoteliers handle volumes of messages by providing a summary, which should drive efficiency by enabling them to respond more quickly.
