Bookaway Group, which has a network of digital platforms that connect travelers with ferry, bus and train ticket suppliers, is creating what it says will be the largest global technology hub for ground and sea transportation. The company says it is investing "millions" to make the hub a reality, although it would not provide a specific amount.
After acquiring five transportation companies during the pandemic, Bookaway Group is looking to consolidate its inventory under one hub to be called Boost, with a soft launch expected in a few months. The company, founded in 2017, says it holds data from nearly 8,500 bus, ferry and train operators with coverage of 350,000 routes in more than 100 markets.
The hub will aggregate this data to enable partners, online travel agencies and affiliates to easily integrate additional transportation services. Centralizing payments, bookings, and metrics across all of its subsidiaries will allow the company to provide its partners with additional insight into customer purchasing behavior.

Serving as general manager of Boost will be Yossi Palivatkel, a former executive at RoadRunAir, HotelBeds and Travel Global Systems.
"I see huge potential in centralizing all of the ground and sea transportation inventory across the globe," Palivatkel says. “With the right infrastructure in place, bolstered by strong technology and a dedicated team, I'm excited to create a new digital standard in our industry and to play a role in unifying this vertical of travel under one platform."
