It's been quite a first year or so at the helm of Travelport for its CEO Greg Webb.
Joining the business shortly after its former boss Gordon Wilson left in the wake of the business coming off the public markets, Webb has had to contend with a global pandemic amid putting into play some of his ideas for bringing the distribution and technology business forward.
Travelport, he says, is concentrating on its core proposition of distribution and tools for suppliers, rather than concerning with other elements of the ecosystem such as the system hosting that its competitors Sabre and Amadeus have to also focus on.
But he has some interesting comments to make about the reality of driving the New Distribution Capability "standard" that many airlines and intermediaries are still trying to figure out.
