Spotnana is enabling travelers to redeem unused airline ticket credits for both EDIFACT and NDC fares.
Travelers can now view unused ticket credits during the booking path, see where credit redemption is allowed and redeem the value of the credit towards a new flight booking.
Agents using Spotnana have access to the same capability while administrators can access reports on unused ticket credits, providing them with an overview into their impact on travel program savings.
The development comes on top of other recently announced self-service capabilities from Spotnana around changing and canceling flights.
Sarosh Waghmar, founder and CEO of Spotnana, said: “We have completely automated the most complex flight change and cancellation scenarios, bringing a new level of efficiency to travelers and agents. In addition, since our modern, microservices-based architecture is content agnostic, it’s easy for us to ensure new capabilities work seamlessly across content sources. This is just the beginning of what we believe is possible.”

The company said it has also expanded its NDC integration with American Airlines and is enabling travelers to put an unused ticket credit for an EDIFACT-based booking towards an NDC fare.
Anthony Rader, director of airline retailing technology at American Airlines, said: “Spotnana added support for NDC redemptions of EDIFACT-based flight credits in a matter of weeks.”
Spotnana integrated with American Airlines about year ago, enabling the airline to provide personalized offers to travelers.
The partnership was on the heels of Spotnana's Series B funding of $75 million announced in late July 2022.
More recently, the company has announced a deal to provide a travel management platform to CWT and an NDC partnership with United to help the carrier with its retailing ambitions.
