Checkfront is one of the first partners for the Reserve With Google initiative - a development that has the potential to be a "disruptive" move for tours and activities.
The Canada-based company's supplier customers can now have their product secured within Google by travelers, as a direct result of the partnership.
Yet the introduction of RWG is part of a bigger play by Google in tours and activities - something that Checkfront CEO Jason Morehouse believes is only going to get bigger over time as consumers become used to the idea that bookable tours and activities are now available in search.
As this development and the wider upsurge in interest in the sector in recent years make their mark, Checkfront says "on-boarding" is still an important issue for suppliers, many of which remain small operations.
