Travel management company CWT is beginning a three-month pilot with Zytlyn, a
Switzerland-based startup that uses data and artificial intelligence to create
predictive insights for travel brands.
The project will combine CWT’s
historical booking data with Zytlyn’s prediction platform to forecast demand
both on specific routes and at a global level.
CWT says the data will help it make
smarter decisions about supply requirements, capacity planning and resource management.

“Being able to accurately predict travel demand in near real-time,
whilst complex, fluid contextual factors such as COVID are at play, enables CWT
to be even more intuitive in its customer offer, ensuring a highly customized
product, service and experience mix relevant to the individual traveler’s
current and near future needs,” says Patrice Simon, CWT CTO for data and analytics.
In September, former CWT president and CEO and now Sabre president Kurt Ekert became an investor and
board member for Zytlyn.
Zytlyn raised
a $2.5 million seed round in June 2021, with participation from Plug &
Play Ventures, Century Oak and others and angel investors including Certares
managing director Elyes Mrad and former Amadeus president Julia Sattel.
