Milwaukee-based Frontdesk says it will nearly double the
number of accommodations on its platform by the end of 2019, thanks to a new
funding round of $2.75 million.
The latest investment comes from La Macchia Holdings, Sand
Hill Angels and Motivate Ventures, in addition to its existing seed round
investors.
As part of the deal, Bill La Macchia, founder of Mark
Travel, will join Frontdesk’s board of directors.
Frontdesk started this year with 135 suites in six cities.
Now the number stands at 270 suites in 13 cities, and the company says it has “aggressive
expansion goals” to reach 500 suites by the end of this year.

The company provides its proprietary technology platform, which currently
includes a property management system capable of multi-channel distribution, dynamic
