With leisure travel stalled, meetings and events cancelled and short-term rentals taking the spotlight, hotel leaders are in the hot seat.
Important questions are being asked of the sector, including how has the pandemic upended channel distribution?
And how might hotels compete with the private accommodation platforms that have seemingly managed to grab some of the small pockets of recovery in the travel industry?
Oral Muir, vice president of global distribution channels at Hilton, expects the industry to recover, rebuild and take back its future.
