LIVN has a pertinent perspective on how the tours and activities is likely to develop on the next few years.
The Australia-based company has spent $10 million in organizing the supply chain and allowing online travel agencies to connect and manage their relationships across the sector.
But it foresees a number of challenges (and opportunities, of course) ahead, not least around how the marketplace will cope with the bolstering of the API-led connectivity by those same OTAs following their respective tech company acquisitions this year.
In particular, according to founder and chief commercial officer, Steve Martinez, will be what he believes should be the introduction of a standard across the sector to smooth out the wrinkles of connectivity and data sharing.
Such developments are not guaranteed, yet Martinez feels the concept should be one that is considered for the overall benefit of the tours and activities market.
Here he talks to PhocusWire's Kevin May during the Arival Event in Las Vegas.
