Mobee Travel, a platform for travelers with reduced mobility or disabilities, has raised €1.5 million in funding.
The investment in the France-based business comes from BPI France and a group of investors including Georges Sans, formerly at Kiwi, and Bruno Couly, formerly at Autoescape.
Founded in 2018, the company offers accommodation and activity bookings on its platform and wants to become the leader in Europe for accessible and sustainable tourism.
According to a statement, Mobee has seen a significant boost in bookings since travel restrictions were lifted a year ago with business volumes reaching €1.5 million in 2021.
The company, which also offers Mobee travel for business for the corporate travel community with reduced mobility, plans to increase the size of its team from 12 to 20 this year.
Mobee is not alone in the space, with Wheel the World announcing funding of $2 million just under a year ago.
